This aptly titled motet arranged by Douglas B. Moore was written by Brahms in 1889 or 1890. The title translates as “When a Strong Man is Prepared.”
The eight celli break down into 2 quartets; the top two parts in each quartet are in treble clef and are difficult. The remaining parts are easy to intermediate.
